To offer complete solutions to its customers, ASAL uses a flexible
manufacturing system to plan, develop and manufacture a large number
of components in a very short time and has the capacity to handle
variable volumes. It uses initiatives such as Kaizen, Pokayoke and
5S to ensure product quality and consistency.
A wide range of presses - from 200 tonne to 1500 tonne machines
in single action, double action and hydraulic versions - supplied
by renowned international manufacturers like Schuler, Erfurt, Rovetta,
Hitachi and HMT give ASAL a distinct advantage.
The weld shops, with contemporary equipment and highly versatile
machines, form the heart of the company's fabrication operations.
They use an array of modern welding technologies like stationary
spot welding, MIG / TIG welding, arc welding, seam welding and SPM.
The company uses robotic welding for critical assemblies and plans
to add more robots in the immediate future.
ASAL has three TS16949 certified plants in India, two in Pune and
one in Halol.
