Tool development capabilities
TACO Tooling provides extended support for its customers. Its cross-functional team participates in the vehicle development process right from the initial stages, so that a high degree of simultaneous engineering is achieved through critical decisions such as the implications of a new feature in a car, tooling costs, quality expectations, the overall time frame and the overall economics of the vehicle with respect to new industrial design.

Drawing on its synergies with TACO group companies, the business unit supports the customer with turnkey solutions, including product design services and the supply of parts and sub-assemblies.

Tooling decisions being vital in vehicle development, at TACO Tooling the customers needs are well understood. It works with its customers to accelerate their product design process by developing dies in parallel to the product development process, reducing product launch time by providing simultaneous engineering support to the customer's product team.

Its capabilities include:

Simulation for product feasibility
Die design simultaneously with product design
Die development simultaneously with die design
Try-outs on the required presses and on the customer's home line

Development methodology
The unit uses the simultaneous engineering methodology in die development and its processes are capable of institutionalising the customer's standards and specifications.

Through this methodology, TACO Tooling has fulfilled its customers' requirements in terms of materials, standard replaceable inserts, special steels and try-outs in the mechanical presses.

It is certified ISO-9001:2000 by BVQI and has robust quality systems to ensure the consistency of its processes.
