These toolings are used in vehicle exterior
and interior panels (door outers, hoods, roofs, tailgates, fenders,
door inners, etc), internal structural parts (pillars, floors, dash
panels, floors, cross members, reinforcements, etc) and parts like
fuel tanks and oil sumps.

development capabilities
TACO Tooling provides extended support for its customers.
Its cross-functional team participates in the vehicle development
process right from the initial stages, so that a high degree of
simultaneous engineering is achieved through critical decisions
such as the implications of a new feature in a car, tooling costs,
quality expectations, the overall time frame and the overall economics
of the vehicle with respect to new industrial design.
Drawing on its synergies with TACO group companies,
the business unit supports the customer with turnkey solutions,
including product design services and the supply of parts and sub-assemblies.
Tooling decisions being vital in vehicle development,

Development methodology
The unit uses the simultaneous engineering methodology in die
development and its processes are capable of institutionalising
the customer's standards and specifications.

Through this methodology, TACO Tooling has
fulfilled its customers' requirements in terms of materials, standard
replaceable inserts, special steels and try-outs in the mechanical
presses.
It is certified ISO-9001:2000 by BVQI and has
robust quality systems to ensure the consistency of its processes.
