TACO-IPD
inaugurates manufacturing facility in Bidadi, Bangalore
TACO-Interiors
and Plastics Division (TACO-IPD) inaugurated its new manufacturing
facility in Bidadi, near Bangalore, in Karnataka. The Bidadi facility
is the fourth for the division, the other facilities being in Maharashtra.
The new facility was inaugurated by Mr.
A Toyoshima, Managing Director, Toyota Kirloskar Motors Limited
in the presence of other high ranking officials from the Indian
auto industry as well TACO top management including Mr. D S Gupta,
Mr. Rajiv Bakshi & Mr. Raman Nanda.

Knorr-Bremse India inaugurates facility at Hinjawadi,
Pune

Knorr-Bremse
Systems for Commercial Vehicles India Pvt Ltd (KBSCV), a joint venture
between Knorr-Bremse Far East Ltd, Hong Kong, a subsidiary of Knorr-Bremse
AG, Germany, and Tata AutoComp Systems Limited (TACO), formally
inaugurated its manufacturing facility at Hinjawadi, near Pune,
India. The new facility will supply air-braking systems including
modern electronic brake systems to commercial vehicle manufacturers
in the domestic market.
Knorr-Bremse Indias new manufacturing
facility was inaugurated by Mr. Ravi Kant, Executive Director, Commercial
Vehicles Business Unit, Tata Motors Ltd, in the presence of Mr.
Heinz Hermann Thiele, Chairman of the Board of Management, Knorr-Bremse
AG, Germany, and Mr. Vinod Dasari, Chief Operating Officer, Ashok
Leyland Ltd, accompanied by distinguished guests from the Indian
auto industry, including Mr. Abhay Firodia, Chairman and Managing
Director, Force Motors. The inauguration function was well attended
by customer representatives.
Knorr-Bremse India will cater to the
Indian market by developing modern air-braking systems for commercial
vehicles. The product portfolio includes air-brake valves, air supply/treatment
systems, actuators, automatic slack adjusters, foundation brakes,
anti-lock brake systems and other allied automotive solutions for
commercial vehicles.

Tata Ficosa inaugurates 100 per cent EOU at
Pune

Tata
Ficosa formally inaugurated its export-oriented plant located at
Hinjewadi, Pune on 6 April 2005. The EOU is set up to cater to global
customer requirements for rear view mirror systems.
The plant inauguration ceremony comprised the plaque unveiling by
Joan Trullen, Deputy Minister for industrial affairs, government
of Spain, the ribbon cutting ceremony by David Friedman, Managing
Director and President, Ford India Ltd and a tree plantation ceremony
by distinguished guests including Arvind Mathew, Vice-President
and Executive Director, Ford India Ltd. The inauguration was followed
by a plant tour. The stage was then set for delegate addresses,
following the welcome speech by Tata Ficosa CEO Jeevan Mahaldar:
speakers included Trullen, Friedman and Javier Pujol, CEO, Ficosa
International. TACO senior management and Tata Ficosa team members
attended the event.

Inauguration
of TACO-IPD warehouse and assembly set up at Bangalore
February 2005
TACO-IPD has set up a warehouse and assembly
facility at Bangalore to support TKML. The facility was inaugurated
on 31 January 2005 at the hands of Umizawa San - head of purchasing,
TKML.
This is the first set up of TACO Group
in Bangalore to support TKML. This is a precursor to setting up
of a full-fledged moulding facility at Bangalore which should be
operational by October 2005.
