TACO Sasken Automotive Electronics formed

Sasken Communications Technologies andTATA Autocomp Systems Ltd have formed a joint venture in the area of automotive electronics on 24 January 07, to be known as TACO Sasken Automotive Electronics (TSAE). To start with the joint venture will focus on automotive electronic products in the areas of telematics, infotainment and occupant convenience. TSAE will later design, develop and market electronic products for the automotive markets both for OEM as well as the aftermarket. The development centre will be based out of Bangalore, India.

Currently, TACO Group designs and manufactures a wide variety of components including seating systems, plastic interior and exterior parts, wiring harnesses, aluminium radiators, lighting systems, engine induction systems, brake discs and braking systems, rear view mirrors, control cables, exhaust systems, sheet metal assemblies, SMC parts, vehicle tracking systems, suspensions, coil springs and automotive batteries.
